Last Saturday we decided to try this place and for now this is my #1 in Holland. From atmosphere to cleanliness, service, and of course, food is wow, wow, wow.... Our waiter was Justin and this guy is an expert in waitering. Thank you Justin for the good recommendation. The food was so perfect in portion and tasted so good. I have to mention the sweet part of the day, ✨️ crème brûlée ✨️ and lemon cheese cake. We tried the cherry chocolate cake, it's good but if you like a very sweet cake. Crème brûlée is out of this world, you must try. Highly recommend this place.
It was my first time in after a recommendation from a friend. I left absolutely stuffed! Having eaten many Gyros over the years, and many from the source in Greece, I fancy myself an astute judge on a quality gyro and many are not. I was so pleasantly surprised by the one I had at Waverly. They didn't skimp on the meat or the tzatiki and the flat bread was warm and soft. Being the glutton I sometimes am, I also couldn't pass up trying their beer cheese which certainly had a unique twist. It was outrageously good and interesting in the best way. Don't pass on it. Service was great - prompt, friendly, on the ball. I'll be back for sure.
The atmosphere is electric. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful. The staff is super friendly and wonderful! We got the beer, cheese appetizer, and it was absolutely delicious. Along with the Hot honey, salmon and short ribs, which was outstanding. Wish we lived closer, but we will be back!!! Highly recommend!!!!! Drinks are also 10/10
I had an excellent lunch here and found the service and food to be wonderful. The menu has just enough options to make choosing a bit difficult, but my waitress recommended the Mediterranean Pasta. It turned out to be a great recommendation. The pasta was perfectly tender and the flavors of the toppings and sauce blended together very well. My meal was served fairly quick, and the server checked up on me fairly often. The staff was friendly, and the restaurant had a nice atmosphere. I’d have no problem recommending this restaurant.
This was a really cool spot to grab lunch. Everything was super yummy! 😋 The short ribs were amazing, and the Hot Honey and Brie requires some discipline - it's really good. 🤤 The chicken gyro with the tallow fries was a perfect pairing. The fries went well with the short rib jus, too.... The service was great; we were seated and able to order in a few minutes. It seemed quiet and relaxed outside, but the inside was conservatively lively and really cool. 🌟👌 *The patio is dog-friendly, which was a huge plus for us.*
A great all around restaurant. It hits a nice price point of being on the upper end of food quality and experience with a reasonable price. They have a great variety of foods: we tried the goat cheese salad with salmon, the chicken schwarma bowl, and the Waverly smash burger with tallow fries. They were all good and we tried their horseradish mayo and ranch which were also both great housemade sauces. The service was good and the environment pleasant.
Since they redid the menu over a year ago they stepped up their game its went from a 2 star resturant to a 5 star. Menu is so much better. They had venison for a special and it was a favorite and pictured below.
We've been to Waverly Stone one other time and both experiences have been amazing. The food IS truly fabulous (we've been to Italy, the pasta is one of few on the West Mich area I've had that stands up to true Italian pasta). I loved my Alfredo (GF pasta!!!! Yes. You read that right. Good, not chewy not mushy Gluten free pasta) with shrimp, my husband loved his short ribs, "melt in your mouth tender". We each enjoyed mocktails, his was Flower Petal (?), mine was Blueberry Bliss. My only complaint is this was tangier than I was hoping for- but still delicious. (I missed taking pictures of the food, we were too hungry, haha.) The best part of our evening was the attention and friendliness and genuine care of our waitress, Reesha. Honestly, her customer service was the most memorable part of our dinner! Highly recommend this downtown Holland gem. Come in before 6:00 to beat the rush!
Lunch was delicious. Jazz was our server and did a great job. Answered all our questions prior to us ordering. Wonderful wine selection, Iron Fish Bourbons are a favorite. Atmosphere cozy. We enjoyed our mid morning here at Waverly Stone.
I loved this place! The goat cheese salad with curry chicken was out of this world. The combination was unexpected with every bite tasting different and amazing. We also got a side of fries with the balsamic vinegar. I’ve truly never had fries like that. We loved them so much we got a second order.
